Flight Profile Week #2 - Part 91 Review by Capt. Joel Bush

About this event

Flight Profile Week #2 Part 91 Review
Speaker:  Capt. Joel Bush, CAA Member, CFII

Presenting to the audience his renowned Part 91 Review for Week #2 Ground School for CAA's 57th Annual Flight Profile

The review of FAR Part 91 is critical due to the increasing complexity of airspace and the need to ensure that all pilots are familiar with Class B, Class C, and all other types of airspace.  This review may be the only time some pilots spend reviewing the regulations.

This session is essential for anyone wishing to get a Flight Review.

Captain Joel Bush is an accomplished pilot with Horizon Air, where he serves in Flight Operations. He is also a Certified Flight Instructor (CFII) and an experienced contract pilot.

Based in Hillsboro, Oregon, Captain Bush is actively involved in aviation education and safety initiatives. He has led FAA Safety Team (FAASTeam) seminars, such as the Part 91 Flight Review at the Columbia Aviation Association, demonstrating his commitment to pilot proficiency and community engagement.

Captain Bush holds a degree from LeTourneau University and brings a wealth of experience to his roles, combining operational expertise with a passion for mentoring fellow aviators

Each year Columbia Aviation Association conducts Flight Profile and invites CAA members and non-members to brush up their aeronautical knowledge and flying skills through three sessions of ground school and a flight with a CFI. This is all sponsored by CAA with no additional cost to participants.
CAA Flight Profile is open to all members and non-members at no additional cost

Ground school sessions are conducted on three Thursday Night dinner programs beginning April 24th and are followed by a two-hour Flight Check held on Saturday May 10, 2025, departing from the CAA clubhouse on Aurora State Airport.  CAA's Member CFI’s contribute their time to fly with members and non-members to to evaluate skills and to share knowledge and experience.
Sign up at the club to take advantage of the two-hour Flight Check on Saturday May 10th
