Unlocking Oregon’s Aviation History Through the State Archives
Join us tonight as Kim Gorman, Reference, Outreach, and Education Archivist for the Oregon State Archives, gives CAA an inside look at the records held by the Archives and how to conduct archival research.
Kim’s presentation will include a special focus on aviation-related records, including materials from the Oregon Department of Aviation, Department of Transportation, Department of Forestry, Military Department, and the Secretary of State, Corporation Division. This will be a great opportunity to learn how historical records can help uncover the stories of Oregon’s aviation past.
Kim has served at the Oregon State Archives since 2021 and previously worked at the National Archives in southern California. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington, is a Certified Archivist, and has earned the Government Archives and Records Administration Certificate.
