Movie Night at CAA, Spaceballs
Join us this Thursday for a fun and relaxed movie night featuring Spaceballs. Come enjoy a classic comedy with fellow members, good company, and a little aviation adjacent mischief.
There is also a chance we may have a special guest with ties to a very familiar name in the homebuilt aircraft world, so you may want to arrive curious.
Happy Hour begins at 5:30 PM,
Dinner at 7:00 PM, with the movie will follow.
The plot....
Spaceballs is a parody sci-fi comedy directed by Mel Brooks that spoofs franchises like *Star Wars*.
The story follows the villainous Dark Helmet (played by Rick Moranis) and President Skroob as they try to steal the air supply of the peaceful planet Druidia, prompting a rogue pilot, Lone Starr (Bill Pullman), and his sidekick Barf to rescue Princess Vespa.
Along the way, the film mixes absurd humor, fourth-wall breaks, and visual gags, poking fun at sci-fi tropes, merchandising, and blockbuster culture while ultimately delivering a lighthearted adventure about heroism and friendship. (96 minutes)
