Join us for a lively and unforgettable presentation by CAA member Phil Mandel, who set out for Oshkosh this year with his trusty Thorp, but things didn’t quite go as planned. A mid-journey prop strike threw a wrench into the mission, sending Phil on an unexpected adventure involving planes, trains, automobiles, and a serious dose of resourcefulness.
He made it to AirVenture in the end, but how? Come hear the full story of mechanical mishaps, travel improvisation, and the determination to reach the world’s greatest aviation gathering no matter what.
Bring your questions, your appetite for adventure, and maybe a few extra airplane puns. This one’s going to be fun.
