LCDR Pendleton will talk about submarine hunting, flying from the USS Hornet aircraft carrier, cat shots, catching the wire and naval aviation.

Lieutenant Commander David Pendleton spent 21 years in the Navy in several positions including pilot of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Grumman S2F Trackers.  He served aboard the USS Hornet CVS-12 aircraft carrier in the late 1960s and was aboard for the Apollo 11 moon landing recovery and then reported to Anti-Sub squadron VS-33 at Naval Air Station North Island California.
He also served 4 years in Japan with COMFAIRWESTPC, and as security officer at NAS Point Mugu.

If you are interested in naval aircraft operations, this is a meeting you'll love to attend.

Dave will be introduced by CAA member Jake Jaocbs who also served on the USS Hornet CVS-12 and in VS-33 squadron a few years before Dave's duty there.

Note: This will be a Zoom program, meeting details will be provided by direct email.
