1968 M20F Executive with the long cabin, 3 side windows, electric gear, and cambered outer wings.
The engine is an IO 360-A1A and is turbo-normalized with a Rajay Turbo Charger. It can maintain 70% power to 16,000 feet where the true air speed is 190 mph on 11 gph of gas. Top true air speed seen is 198 mph at 17,500. With 64 gallons of gas the range is more than adequate. The engine instruments are all digital by Electronics International, including tach, manifold pressure, fuel flow and totalizer, EGT/CHT/TIT scanner, and oil temp& pressure.
In 1994 Bob Fitts gave it a new paint job, greatly improving it’s ramp performance.
A few years ago I added the STEC 30 autopilot with altitude hold and an IFR GX 60 GPS. This complemented the KX-155, KR86 ADF, KN 62 DME, A-50 transponder, HyperVox 4place intercom, AltiAlert & digital altimeter, marker beacon, and KA 20 audio panel. The STEC is completely separate from the vacuum instruments, making it safer in partial panel conditions. The instrument panel has been converted to vertical with a standard tee configuration.
