Scott Gustafson's RV-8

N43TK  Vans RV-8 kitplane

A Sleek Craft

170 knots on an 036-A1A - not bad!  And the aluminum work is so perfect it will almost be a shame to cover it with paint. Certificated as experimental and airworthy on 4/24/2003 this bird is built to go places - fast.

The RV8 is an in-line tandem seating "aviation experience".  Scott said he always wanted a plane he could fly from the center of the cockpit so with Vans being so close and the kits so well put together the RV8 was the obvious choice. After looking at several that were finished he decided the experience of building  would be interesting so with that in mind the ultra fast build kit was purchased.  Starting with Art Chard who is a master of metal work and then working with John VanBladeren, genius with panel and wiring and Gary Graham (Mr. RV) the project came together in about 16 months.

Scott is just finishing a full leather interior and  will share more photos once paint is applied by master painter, Craig Roberts!
