| Samuel Frisella
CAA Life Member. Joined CAA in 1959 Mr. Frisella was born January 1, 1923 in St. Louis. During WWII he served in the US Navy in the Pacific and was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross. He moved to Portland in 1959 and was general manager of Melridge Aviation for 18 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the St. Therese church. In 1945 he married Norma Hagan. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Denise and Barbara; sons, Gregory and Christopher; sister, June Gagnepaine; brothers, Joe, Frank, Pete, Angelo and Jim; and four grand-children. His son, Mark, died in infancy. Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the children's program at Pearson Air Museum, 1115 E. 5th Street, Vancouver, WA 98661. Arrangements are by Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes. 2/1 --A moment of silence was held at the CAA club meeting on Thursday, Feb 1st in honor and remembrance of Sam.
