Raymond Allen Town Jr.

A funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, in Agnes Flanagan Chapel at Lewis & Clark College for Raymond Allen Town Jr., who died Oct. 19 at age 68. Mr. Town Jr. was born Nov. 13, 1932, in Portland, and was a long-time resident of Lake Oswego. He graduated from West Linn High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force. He started his first business, Town Concrete Pipe, in 1962, and later founded several businesses, including By-Town Pipe, The Cipole Group and The Town Group. He was most recently president of Town Investments. He was a business partner in The Mountain Shop, Campbell Crane and Rigging and Bluerock Concrete Products. He served on the board of the Oregon Concrete Pipe Association and was awarded Member of the Year by the Columbia Aviation Association in 1994. About 1971, he married Marilyn Campbell.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Kimberly Jean Schroeder, Kristin Ruth Parsons and Patricia Elizabeth Carlson; sons, Lloyd, Michael and Carl; and 12 grandchildren.

Interment in River View Cemetery. Remembrances to Angel Flight West in Santa Monica, Calif. Arrangements by Portland Memorial.
