A note from Hal Morley (Board member of Angel Flight West)
Some sad news and some good news.
This last Friday several of us lost a good friend in the person of Ray
Town.
Ray was an avid pilot and one of those individuals with a booming voice
and
a zest for life. Ray had been on a Columbia Aviation Association
outing to
Powell Lake last Friday where at age 69 he had a sudden fatal heart
attack.
Those of us who knew him will miss him a great deal.
While Ray was not (yet) himself part of Angel Flight, his family has
decided
to ask that contributions in his memory be sent to Angel
Flight West. I
think that this is a very warm gesture and a way for Ray's spirit and
memory
to continue to participate in both aviation and in his passion for life.
Jim Weaver tells me that each contribution is acknowledged with a thank
you
to the donor, and that a list of donors is sent on to the family.
A good man, a very nice gesture.
Best regards,
Hal Morley
