Floyd Goodat passes away at 59

Long time member Floyd Goddat died on Friday, May 9th, 2003 following a long-term illness.  Floyd was CACC president in 1976 and created the club's Flight Profile program along with Doug Black.  Floyd was a former professional corporate pilot and served in the 123rd Fighter Squadron at the PDX Air Force Reserve base.  He also spent many hours flying with Ernie Wakehouse in Ernie's Learjet.

Bill Owen comments "Floyd was a great guy, probably one of the most experienced and knowledgeable pilots in this part of the U.S.  He'll be missed by a LOT of us".

There will be no funeral services, however, there will be a Celebration of Life at the clubhouse, arranged by Ernie Wakehouse and Floyd's widow Gail Goodat.

Celebration of Life for Floyd Goodat
Saturday, May 17th, 2003 at 2pm.
At the CAA clubhouse

Floyd's long-time friends Guy Gorrell, Mike Resse and John Walthers will assist Ernie in hosting this memorial in honor of Floyd.  Gail Goodat will be there, food will be provided and we are planning for a large turnout to honor an outstanding CAA member and friend to many.
