CPR Training Report from Dr. Guy Gorrell - March 8, 2002
Over 60 people attended
the AED/CPR course 03/02/2002 and will be receiving completion
certificates soon. There were many positive comments and the club
owned AED will soon be mounted in a permanent club site except when
roaming on our flyouts.
Events like this don't just
happen and thanks are due to those who helped make this success: (A
Taliban curse on my informants if not all names included)
- Phil (Techno audio)
Spencer
- Terry Pickering club
data resources.
- Jim Matsies for
consultation on many questions (and for marrying Linda).
- Webmaster Jake Jacobs.
- Sue Voss and her magic
kitchen crew who created lunch and a banquet from the American Heart
Association Cook Book.
- LMNOP (a secret,
underground cell) for their telephone committee getting the word
out.
- To all the ladies who
transformed the classroom configuration into a dining room with
center pieces yet:
Vicki, Bette, Felicia, Lori, Sherry, Patricia, Julie, Sharon, Farol
& Linda.
- To Zigmund and Terry
Sawzak et al for an outstanding course presentation.
- It was of note, of
course, to have present, life CAA member Robert and Joyce Rullman.
Bob, along with two Portland physicians, developed and patented
the
first
ever anywhere AED after
work they began in 1967!!!!
Names are being accumulated for a CPR/AED makeup session in mid May
(unless another time is found to be better) at Flight profile time.
These people are currently waiting to attend.
