Note from Ken Poe 12/31/05

Everyone,

I got home from the hospital yesterday (Friday the 30th) at about 1:00 PM. I experienced one heck of an ordeal. I thank all my friends at CAA for their concerns support and visits. I assure you all it made a difference.

I still don’t know all the particulars but the facts are:

1.  felt “weird” and my doctor put me in the hospital Monday, December 5th.

2. The early evening of the 6th, a respiratory tech found me in my room unconscious and not breathing.

3. I spent about a week in ICU with a tube in my throat breathing with a ventilator.

4.  After the tube was removed my spirits soared and I was on the road to recovery.

5. I was transferred to the respiratory unit where I tried to get strong enough to go to PARC (Providence Acute Rehabilitation Care) in wing K.

6. Went to 4K for 6 days and went home.

There many things I just do not remember but that may be a blessing. I learned many things about myself and life that I will share with the whole gang when I see you.

Thank you again for your concerns.

Ken Poe
